A life change that seemed risky at the time, but it turned out really well
I grew up in mainland China and was a telecommunications engineer working for the largest cellphone provider in
the world. I realized I needed a change to have a better career. I decided to move to the US and take some accounting courses at the local community college. I learned I had a real aptitude for
finance and accounting and continued my education at the University of Illinois, Chicago. In 2010 I received my Masters degree in accounting.
Something about me people might not know
In 2011 I was awarded the Elijah Watts Sells award. This award was presented to 37 candidates out of 90,000 who obtained a cumulative average score above 95.5 across all four sections of the Uniform CPA Examination on their first attempt. The Elijah Watt Sells Award program was established in 1923 by the AICPA to recognize outstanding performance on the Uniform CPA Examination.
